QSP! Relay this information!

Mark your calendar for August 1Øth for the first-ever inter-club Ham Radio Rag Chew conference. It's one week away!

Arrive for the mini-fest at 11-AM on Saturday at Rogers Pond Park in Kennebunk (travel instructions below).

This free eyeball QSO event is hosted by the New England Radio Discussion Society. The conference is intended primarily as a social event, with little or no traditional or conventional hamfest buying-and-selling of gear.

Instead, presentations and show-and-tell is encouraged, so bring along your favorite rig, key, microphone, QSL card collections, antiques, photos, etc.

Invitations have been sent to the Merrymeeting Amateur Radio Association, the Portland Amateur Wireless Association, the Wireless Society of Southern Maine, the Port City Amateur Radio Club, the Great Bay Radio Association, and the Pine State Amateur Radio Club.

All Radio Amateurs and friends are welcome, regardless of any club affiliation!

Get to know your fellow hams and what their clubs are up to. This will be a bring-your-own-food picnic (no BBQs permitted). Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

The eyeball QSO event will be held rain or shine as there's a nifty pavilion with indoor picnic tables on-site.

Feel free to call me at 207-967-8812, or e-mail for further details. If you get a chance kindly send an e-mail if you plan to attend. Thank you!

===================================================

Take Exit 25 on the Maine Turnpike. If you're coming from the north you'll make a left at the ramp exit and another left-hand turn at the traffic signal onto Rt. 35. Cummings Market and gas station will be on your right at that intersection. Pass over the Turnpike and proceed along Rt. 35 (Fletcher Street).

If you're coming up the Maine Turnpike from the south, take the Kennebunk exit and then you'll make a left onto Fletcher Street.

Pass the Kennebunk High School on your left. Shortly thereafter enter the small round-about traffic circle. Leave the circle at its first exit, onto Storer Street.

Proceed about a half mile to the next set of traffic signals at Route One. Cross Route One, passing a small park with gazebo on your right-hand side by the Mousam River. You'll be on Water Street.

A hop-skip-and jump later you'll pass Factory Pasture Lane on your left and a business called Kitchen Chicks, on your right-hand side. The entrance to Rogers Pond Park is then just to your right.
