This blog will eventually be replaced with a proper club web site front end. And we will be introducing a calendar to keep track of all the events the club is involved in etc.

This Wednesday December 7th is the next PCARC meeting. This is our annual Holiday pot-luck get together! We are coordinating who is bringing what via our Forums (top link on the right side of the screen, look under Events).
I hope to see everyone there!!
I will be bringing the shirts so please if you haven’t paid for your shirt(s) please bring payment to the meeting.

Next Wednesday October 5th is the next PCARC meeting, as usual the Portsmouth Amateur Radio club meets the first Wednesday of each month between September and June. The Club meeting starts at 7:00pm but there is a fund drive dinner put on before each meeting that starts around 6pm.

Looking for radio operators to take a communication course for the D.E.S. to man a radio station in case of an emergency that may be called out by the USCG or by the D.E.S. The duties of the call out is for emergency comms for receiving and passing messages. The radio station could be setup anywhere and has to be manned 24 hrs a day until ordered to secure.
If you are interested please send me your name and telephone number and I will put you on the list. When any info comes out on the course I will send it to you via email or phone.
